Concrete lifting is not governed by a single calendar date. Ground conditions, temperature and whether the slab is indoors or outdoors all affect scheduling.
Exterior work and frost
Outdoor slabs generally cannot be lifted when frost is present in the ground. In a typical Michigan year, the exterior lifting season may run from around March into December, but actual weather conditions decide when work can begin and end.
Interior concrete
Some interior floors can be evaluated and lifted during winter because the ground below a heated structure is protected from normal exterior frost conditions.
Schedule before hazards get worse
If a driveway, sidewalk, patio or porch is already uneven, an early-season inspection can help you plan the repair before the busiest part of summer. Many projects are completed in one working day.
